<p>Michael is an Assistant Secretary General with responsibility for the department’s Financial Services Division. His responsibilities include domestic, EU and international policy matters relating to Funds, Markets, Insurance, Pensions, the government’s international financial services strategy and AML/financial sanctions. He is the Vice-Chair of the EU Financial Services Committee. He has management responsibility for the department’s internal Legal Unit and Chair of the staff/management Departmental Council. He is also a board member of the Irish Pensions Authority.</p> <p>He has worked in a number of areas of the department – economic, budget, tax, EU and financial. Since March 2007, he has been a member of the department’s Executive Board and held A/Sec roles with responsibility for the Budget and Economic Division (2007 – 2012) and the EU Division (2012 – 2014). Between 2014 and 2017 he was the Alternate Executive Director for Canada, Ireland and 10 Caribbean countries at the International Monetary Fund Executive Board. He also previously served on the National Economic and Social Council, National Statistics Board, and a range of senior EU and OECD economic and fiscal committees.</p> <p>He has a BA (economics and sociological &amp; political studies); MA (economics); MSc (taxation); Post Graduate Higher Diploma (Statistics); and is a Certified Bank Director.</p>

<p>Andy joined ISLA in 2013 and took over as Chief Executive in mid-2016. As well as leading our advocacy efforts with policymakers and regulators, he is also responsible for defining the aims and objectives of the Association and ensuring that we meet the needs and requirements of our member firms across Europe, Middle East &#038; Africa. He regularly participates in panel discussions at conferences and events, representing the interests of the industry and advocating the importance of securities lending to the efficient functioning of the broader capital markets.</p> <p>Prior to joining ISLA, he held senior product and account management roles across the securities finance industry including Deutsche Bank, HSBC, Prudential M&#038;G and IHS Markit (formerly Data Explorers).</p> <p>Before joining the world of capital markets, Andy worked in commercial and corporate finance banking including aerospace finance.</p>

<p>Adrian joined ISLA in January 2019 as Head of Regulation, Digital &#038; Market Practice group. In this role, he manages the associations work on regulation, technology, and market practices of the EMEA Securities Lending markets.</p> <p>Adrian has over 30 years of experience in financial services including diverse roles in product development, business analysis, IT development, trading, and operations at BNP Paribas, Barclays and BNY Mellon. Prior to joining ISLA Adrian was head of product development for SFTR at IHS Market.</p>

<p>Farrah joined ISLA in September 2019 and is Director – Regulation and Sustainability within the Regulation &#038; Market Practice group.</p> <p>Farrah provides invaluable support to this strategically important part of the Association’s focus, by working with the various workstream coordinators to monitor and assess EMEA financial regulations, including Tax, that have potential to impact the securities lending market.</p> <p>Farrah reviews regulatory implementation, consultations and manages industry working groups, whilst monitoring updates from policy makers &#038; National Competent Authorities to maintain best practice documentation.</p> <p>Prior to ISLA, Farrah occupied client service and desk support roles within derivatives and securities lending middle office, as well as in asset servicing operations, for J.P Morgan Chase.</p>

<p>David joined ISLA as a consultant in 2020 to lead the pilot study of a securities lending transaction through a Common Domain Model (CDM).</p> <p>The success of this initial study has led to a strategic focus by ISLA into the future digitisation of our industry and David joined the team as a permanent member of staff in January 2021 to lead these efforts.</p> <p>As part of Regulation and Market Practice team, David is responsible for the development and implementation of a Securities Lending Common Domain Model, digital infrastructure, and the ongoing transformation and monitoring of the digital landscape of the Securities Lending market.</p> <p>Prior to joining ISLA, David held roles in technology and infrastructure at State Street, Barclays and UBS.</p>

<p>Mark is the Head of Trading at Zodia Markets, where he leads the OTC execution desk. </p> <p>Zodia Markets is an FCA Registered digital asset exchange and brokerage, which combines Standard Chartered’s institutional banking background and OSL’s expertise in Digital Asset markets</p> <p>Previously, Mark was Head of Prime Brokerage Equity Finance at Credit Suisse EMEA where he was responsible for migrating the Prime trading business from London to Dublin. He began his financial markets career in Goldman Sachs Equity Finance before moving to UBS as a sales trader focusing on US institutional clients.</p>
