The Felix Project
Good Food for Good Causes
4.7 million adults in the United Kingdom struggle to afford to eat every day, 2 million children are at risk of missing the next meal. Meanwhile, our food industry generates 3 million tonnes of good, edible surplus food each year.
The Felix Project is a London-based food redistribution charity set up in 2016 to tackle both issues.

Securities Finance Charity Ball
ISLA is proud to support and sponsor the Securities Finance Charity Ball, an annual industry event that raises funds and awareness for the The International Bankers Charitable Trust (IBCT), Anthony Nolan, and the FELIX Project charities.

Christian Kitchen
ISLA is proud to have been able to support the Christian Kitchen charity by donating thermal flasks to a charitable cause for use as the cold weather continues over the coming months.
With everyone working remotely in 2020, the ISLA team wondered how we could support local charities and came up with the idea of repurposing branded merchandise that would have otherwise been left unused in the office. We wanted to ensure that the 100 or so thermal mugs went to a worthwhile cause, so we decided to donate them to the Christian Kitchen in Walthamstow, London.

Carers Support Merton
In December 2021, ISLA is delighted to have supported a local London Christmas idea brought to us by ISLA’s Tina Baker, Head of Legal Services.
The pandemic has been tough on all our kids, but imagine what has been like for a young carer – isolated at home, perhaps as young as 5, responsible for helping a parent shielding with a long-term illness or supporting a sibling experiencing poor mental health.
ISLA helped fund some gifts and made a donation to Carers Support Merton to support the vital services they provide to so many carers in Merton.

The ISLA team spent the day volunteering at their Kitchen in East London, cooking delicious, nutritious ready-made meals from the surplus food Felix rescue. The team of volunteers at Felix then went on to deliver these meals to charities, schools and holiday programmes in the area to for families and others in need.
