Description:
Unit of measure in which the quantity is expressed. This field is applicable to commodities.

Best Practice:
If Field 2.40 (Type of Asset) is populated with "COMM", at least one code pertaining to the classification of the base product shall be provided, of which there are 72 options (x4 alphabetical characters), otherwise leave blank.

Field 2.47 is not applicable to Securities Lending therefore this should only be populated when the asset on loan is a commodity (2.40 = ‘COMM’). This is not restricted by the validation rules. (SFTR-67)
