Tina is Head of Legal Services at ISLA, where she oversees all aspects of our legal documentation and opinions work for the benefit of ISLA members. This includes the management of our various legal working groups and streams to determine new and ongoing priorities and initiatives, as well as the relationships with external counsel and our netting opinions provider, aosphere.
Tina is a securities lending professional, having spent 11 years at Deutsche Bank in a senior Sales and Marketing role in the Equity financing team. Prior to joining Deutsche Bank, Tina worked in a sales and relationship management role supporting the securities lending trading desk at Morgan Stanley.

Previously, Matt managed Treasury and Capital Markets at Sensato Investors, an Asia Pacific focused quantitative hedge fund, where he oversaw and contributed to the systematic optimization of the firm’s financing and execution model as well as its foreign exchange investment model. Matt spent the majority of his career at BlackRock, formerly BGI, where he was responsible for Equity, Fixed Income and Prime Finance trading. He managed teams in London, New York and Hong Kong and was responsible for exposures across a myriad of long / short and long-only portfolios. During this time, Matt served on the Bank of England’s market intelligence committee for Securities Lending and Repo.Matt studied International Affairs and Political Economics at Lewis & Clark College.

Ina joined BNYM in 2018 from the State Street Bank & Trust Securities Finance business, where she was Head of Regulatory Affairs, EMEA. Prior to that Ina was Managing Counsel for State Street’s Securities Finance business in EMEA and previously, derivatives & securities finance legal counsel supporting the equity finance and money markets desks at Deutsche Bank AG, London. Ina is co-lead of Women in Securities Finance London and is a Director on the ISLA Board and co-chairs the ISLA ESG SteerCo, she is a member of the Bank of England Money Markets Committee, the Bank of England Securities Lending Committee and is co-chair of the Bank of England Money Markets Code sub-committee.

Matt Chessum is an Investment Director within the liquidity management team at Aberdeen Standard Investments (ASI). He is responsible for the securities lending function within ASI and is also involved in the day to day fund management activities of the money market funds. Matt joined Aberdeen Standard Investments in 2011 from BNP Paribas Securities Services where he worked as a securities lending trader on the Agency Lending desk. Previously, Matt worked for Barclays Global Investors and at BNP Paribas Securities Services Paris, in securities lending client services. Matt graduated in 2003 with a BA (Hons) in European Business from both the University of Portsmouth and the BDM Bordeaux. Matt is an ISLA board director and a member of the Bank of England Securities Lending committee.

Daniel is Linklaters Global Diversity and Inclusion Leader. Daniel led the firm through the global expansion of its D&I Strategy and Action Plan, designed the D&I knowledge and learning and delivered it around the globe with his firm and its clients and community partners. Daniel is the chief advisor for the firm on key business issues including global recruitment, data collection and monitoring, procurement, global mobility, reward and marketing, to name a few.
Daniel created the firm’s first D&I strategy and during his time helped the firm; increase female representation at Executive Board and in the Partnership, launch key social impact initiatives like CTRR and O4B, and grew the global D&I activity from 7% to 90% in three years.
Daniel co-created the Linklaters Diversity Faculty, a consultative, advisory, combining experts in the fields of D&I and Employment Law, offering tailored solutions helping global businesses reach their D&I aspirations.
Daniel’s background is in equality consultancy, training and social theory. He holds a Master’s in Gender and the Media from the London School of Economics & Political Science (LSE) and a Bachelor of Arts in Women’s Studies from The University of California in Los Angeles (UCLA).

Andy joined ISLA in 2013 and took over as Chief Executive in mid-2016. As well as leading our advocacy efforts with policymakers and regulators, he is also responsible for defining the aims and objectives of the Association and ensuring that we meet the needs and requirements of our member firms across Europe, Middle East & Africa. He regularly participates in panel discussions at conferences and events, representing the interests of the industry and advocating the importance of securities lending to the efficient functioning of the broader capital markets.
Prior to joining ISLA, he held senior product and account management roles across the securities finance industry including Deutsche Bank, HSBC, Prudential M&G and IHS Markit (formerly Data Explorers).
Before joining the world of capital markets, Andy worked in commercial and corporate finance banking including aerospace finance.

Brooke Gillman manages the Client Relationship Management team globally at eSecLending and is responsible for leading the firm’s service model for all client programs and is also responsible for overseeing the firm’s marketing and communications activities. Brooke has been in the securities lending industry and with eSecLending since its inception in 2000, when she was one of the firm’s founding members that started the business. Brooke has held various senior positions at eSecLending including Business Development, Relationship Management and Head of Marketing and Communications. Outside of eSecLending, Brooke serves as a Boston Chapter Lead for Women in Securities Finance and also as Secretary for the Global Peer Financing Association. Outside of securities finance, Brooke serves her local community as Vice-Chair of the Parks Foundation of Burlington and as a member of the Investment Committee and past Treasurer for the Board of the United Way of Northwest Vermont. He also inspired HOOPP’s in-house collateral management software which integrates Fixed Income, Equities, Derivatives, Securities Lending and Borrowing, Repo and FX Trading into one cohesive platform. Robert joined the HOOPP in October of 2000 after working seven years in the financial industry including at Deutsche Bank, Bankers Trust, TD Securities and HSBC. He has a bachelor’s degree of Commerce, Accounting and Finance from Ryerson University in Toronto, Canada and is a Certified Public Accountant. Robert is very interested in the peer to peer community, utilizing blockchain technology for Capital Markets, focusing on: Fixed Income and Equity Repo, Securities Lending and Borrowing, Collateral Management and Financing. Robert was instrumental in founding the Global Peer Financing Association, where he serves as the Chair on the Board of the Directors.

She also had prior experiences with Societe Generale’s Credit and Equity Derivatives teams, working for the Special Situation Group in London in 2009, and at a later date for the Index Arbitrage team in New-York until 2012. Since early 2020, she has joined the Sustainability Solutions team within Global Markets activities, as a product developer.

Julia Hoggett took up the post of Chief Executive Officer of London Stock Exchange plc on the 14 April 2021.
Prior to this position, Julia was the Director of Market Oversight at the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), responsible for overseeing the conduct of participants in the primary and secondary markets in the UK. Julia joined the FCA as Head of the Wholesale Banking Supervision Department in May 2014.
Before joining the FCA, Julia was Managing Director and Head of FIG Flow Financing and subsequently also Covered Bonds, Short-Term Fixed Income Origination and Green Debt Capital Markets for EMEA at Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BAML). Prior to joining BAML Julia was a Board Member and latterly CEO of DEPFA ACS BANK in Ireland and responsible for the long-term funding of the DEPFA BANK Group.
Earlier in her career, Julia worked at JP Morgan in DCM origination roles covering Sovereign, Supranational and Agency clients and before that Sovereign and sub-Sovereign clients in Emerging Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Julia has a degree in Social and Political Sciences from Newnham College, Cambridge University and undertook a research scholarship at Kings College, Cambridge University focused on public policy and economic development strategies in East Africa.
Julia was named one of Financial News’ 100 Most Influential Women in Europe’s Financial Markets in 2010, 2011 and 2012. Julia was also named on the OUTstanding Top 50 list in 2013 and in its successor the Top 100 list in 2014. She has been an active speaker in the City on Diversity and Inclusion for much of the last 20 years.

Adam Jacobs-Dean joined AIMA in February 2013 and is Managing Director, Global Head of Markets, Governance and Innovation. Prior to joining AIMA, he worked at the International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA), where he focused on European regulatory initiatives dealing with OTC derivatives markets, notably the review of the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID).
Adam started his career at the UK Financial Services Authority (FSA), where he worked in both policy and supervisory roles. He also undertook a number of projects for the Committee of European Securities Regulators (CESR). In 2009 he was seconded from the FSA to the European Commission in Brussels, where he worked on Solvency II.

Prior to joining EquiLend, Brian spent 17 years with Barclays Global Investors (BGI). While at BGI, Brian held various positions, including head of Global Derivatives Services and Cash Strategist. Brian spent many years in securities finance while at BGI. His roles in that area ranged from Product Manager for Fixed Income Securities Lending, as well as Program Manager and alternate board member of EquiLend. He is one of the thought leaders among the initial ownership group that helped design the EquiLend platform.

The role of the Securities Finance team is threefold; firstly, the Securities Finance team specialises in the lending of fixed income and equity assets on behalf of clients on a fully collateralised basis to generate low-risk revenue for our clients. The team has a proven track record of sustained and significant investment outperformance in this product. Securities lending activity is conducted throughout a variety of markets and facilitated through various lending structures.
Our second role is to leverage the team’s expertise and infrastructure in Repo to provide liquidity solutions to our clients and internal stakeholders.
And thirdly, we utilise both of these products in order to provide collateral management solutions for our client’s needs. This function is increasing important given the changing regulatory and market landscape.

Danièle Noujaim is the head of the Securities Lending and repo desk at AMUNDI Intermediation.
After 12 years at BNP Paribas Securities Services, first as a Securities Lending sales/trader (6 years), then as head of the Paris Equity trading desk (5 years) and finally as a Client Relationship Manager (4 months), Danièle Noujaim joined AMUNDI Intermediation on March 2019, as head of Securities Lending, Repo and Collateral Management.
Being in charge of a desk’s revenues during times of automation, digitalization & collateral optimization in the context of growing regulation, she makes sure clients and counterparts are satisfied with the service and results.
After graduating from ESCP Europe in Paris, Danièle learned about optimizing treasury for one year at AFD (Agence Française de Développement) as a market operator, and about organizational processes for one year at Eurogroup Consulting. She discovered financial markets during her internship at SGCIB as an Assistant Sales in Equity Derivatives.

Marshall has substantial experience of leading complex international committees and boards. His background spans a range of sectors, including banking and capital markets, insurance, and regulation. His career spans over 30 years on three continents. In June 2018 he was made an Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (OBE) for his contribution to financial services, and to charity. He cares passionately for financial literacy, market confidence, and good outcomes for investors.
Marshall Bailey is Chairman of MUFG Securities EMEA and Chair of the Financial Services Compensation Scheme, as appointed by the FCA and Bank of England, and serves on the board of CFA Institute. In the past he has been Chairman of CIBC World Markets Plc in London, a Representative of the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund (PIF) on the board of the largest bank in the Kingdom, National Commercial Bank, Jeddah, where he was Chair the Group Risk Committee, announcing a $15 billion merger with Samba Financial Group. Also, as Chairman, he has completed a consolidation of of LCH Group Holdings, the world’s largest derivatives central clearing house, while on the Board of its parent, the London Stock Exchange Group during their $29 billion acquisition of Refinitiv. On these boards he has Chaired, or been a member of the Nominations, Risk and Remuneration Committee. Additionally, he is a non-executive Director and Chair of the Risk Committee and member of the Audit Committee of Chubb European Group Insurance Ltd. He has been an Independent Director on the board of UK Financial Investments Ltd (UKFI), the government body overseeing the UK government’s ownership of banking assets after the 2008 financial crisis.
Marshall holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Winnipeg, a Master of Arts in International Affairs and History from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva, Switzerland and is a Chartered Financial Analyst. He has also completed the FT Non-Executive Directors’ Diploma, and is currently completing the Certificate in ESG Investing, offered by the CFA Institute via the UK. In his spare time, Marshall is a sailor and is a qualified Ocean Yachtmaster with the Royal Yachting Association. He also buys himself a new putter each year in his seemingly futile pursuit of lower golf scores.

Marc Turnbull, Director, is the global head of Change Management for Liquidity & Lending Operations (LLO). The Change Management team is responsible for the management of pre-trade securities lending activity, including new borrower and new client onboarding into the BLK Sec Lending program and all facets of non-cash Tri-party schedule maintenance. In addition, the team, in partnership with internal and external stakeholders, is responsible for the execution of the change agenda that underpins the regulation and the growth of the Securities Lending business.
Mr Turnbull’s service with the firm dates back to 2010 with Business Operations. In his previous role, Mr Turnbull was the EMEA head of Sec Lending Operations. Prior to that, he was the Team leader for the processing team within EMEA Corporate Actions working closely with other operational teams globally and BRS Solutions for external client training. Prior to joining BlackRock, Mr Turnbull worked for State Street in Edinburgh, where he served in several Corporate Actions roles.
Mr Turnbull’s won a CISI award in 2015 for achieving the highest mark for the Asset Servicing unit part of the Investment Operations Certificate.

Johanne earned a MS in Quantitative Finance and Risk Management from Bocconi University in 2006.

Phil has previously been a member of the ISLA Board of Directors and holds a Master’s Degree in Applied Finance.
